CHUCK THUSS

In recent years, Chuck spent a nearly a decade as a professional hockey goaltender for the International, American and East Coast Hockey Leagues. He served as assistant coach for the ECHL Mississippi Sea Wolves while owning and operating Southern Sports Supply through 2011.

 

Before turning pro, Chuck attended Miami University (Ohio) and graduated with a dual major in Health and Sports Studies with a minor emphasis in Coaching. He is a scholarship recipient and has earned several CCHA league awards and team awards.

Honors include the following: Goalie of the Year, CCHA All-League, Miami University Athlete of The Year, Team MVP Player of the Year, named 1st Team All American and received the USOC Volunteer Coach of The Year award in 2011.

 

His most notable mention is the Terry Flanagan award, an award that honors a player for perseverance, dedication, and courage while overcoming severe adversity.

 

Born in Strathroy Ontario, Chuck now resides in Mobile, Alabama with his wife Jamie and daughters Bethany and Brooke. He enjoys playing golf, reading, working out and spending time with his family.
