How Many Times Have You Asked Yourself This?

This is such a simple, but very profound question. A question that deserves to be asked regularly. One that requires some deep soul searching for the answer. A question that may require some deep conversations with not only yourself but a few close friends to uncover the answer.

What Will You Discover?

When you ask the question, 'Who Am I", what do you expect the answer to be? What do you want the answer to be? Who do you want others to tell you you are? Are you ready for the truth?

What Is The Answer?

When you ask the question "Who am I", what answers do you hear? Are you an elite athlete? Are you a doctor? Are you an electrician? While these maybe some of the answers you hear, they are actually not who you are, rather what you do. They are how you identify yourself in the world, but not who you are.

So Then, Who Am I?

You are a spiritual being made in the likeness of God, having a human experience. You are Divine. You are one with All That Is. You are anything and everything you can imagine you are. Yes, you are all that and more. It is truly remarkable. You are remarkable. All you have to do is believe it. That is when the magic starts.

Are you feeling a little off? Not feeling like yourself and you can't quit put your finger on it? Are you having trouble finding any joy or happiness in life? It's okay. You, and millions of others are feeling the same way. It's okay, not to be okay.

Where Are You Living?

So many of us are going at such a speed everyday, physically and mentally, that we are not living in the moment. We are busy thinking about the past, and what could have been, or the future and what might be. All of this thinking outside the present moment, is what is leading to this. Happiness, joy and meaningful living are happening in the present moment. This way of thinking didn't just happen today or last week, but has been going on for months, if not years.

The Past And The Future

What does living in the past and living in the future get you? Living in the past will bring you feelings of depression and living in the future will bring you feelings of anxiety. I share this with you from personal experience. I have lived a great deal of my life in both places and therefore have dealt with extensive anxiety and depression.

Present Moment

What does the present moment offer? This is where life is happening. This is where the magic is. It's happening right here, right now. When you live in this present moment, those feelings of anxiety and depression will fade away and they are replaced with emotions like joy and happiness. There is great power in this present moment, and it's all we really have.

Moving Forward

Please know, it's okay, not to be okay. It's okay to have these feeling and emotions, but please know they don't have to be permanent. You are not destined to live with these emotions all day every day. Peace, love and joy are attainable, and are waiting for you in the present moment. Take a deep breath, look down at your feet, and be aware that this is where life is happening. The magic of life is in this moment. Are you ready to seize it?

Are you taking responsibility for your words, your actions and your life? Are you standing in your truth? Are you speaking your truth? There is great personal power and freedom when you live your life doing so.

Responsibility

By definition, responsibility is the state or fact of being accountable. Are you being accountable for everything in your life? Are you living a life that allows you to take responsibility and to be accountable?

Great Power

There is great power when you live a life of accountability and responsibility. Living a life in this manner is very freeing and peaceful. Living this way is much easier and simpler less stressful because you can just be yourself, and being yourself, is what you do best.

What Does This Mean?

Taking responsibility and be accountable means standing up and saying "Yes, that was me. I said that or I did that". It also means taking responsibility for everything in your life. All the things you have done, not done and the way you feel. It means pointing the finger at yourself instead of others. It's your life, not theirs. Why would anyone want to blame someone else for their actions and feelings? By doing so, you are giving them power over you. You are saying that these people have made you do something or feel a certain way. Why would you give anyone that sort of power over you? Take back your power and be responsible. Own your feeling and actions. While some may feel this is scary, and dangerous, it is just the opposite. It is very brave and powerful and something not found as often today as it was in years past.

"Its only when you take responsibility for your life, that you discover how powerful you truly are!"
Allanah Hunt

The Time Is Now

There is no better time than now to start taking responsibly for you, and your life. The power you will gain, the freedom you will feel and the places you will go will transform your life in ways you could never imagine. This life awaits you. Enjoy the journey.
